Williams Will Try Rodman’s Agent

Brian Williams, still unsigned, has fired agent Fred Slaughter, replacing him with Dennis Manley, who represents Chicago’s Dennis Rodman.
A Clipper spokesman said Manley has already met with Clipper Vice-President Andy Roeser.
Williams and Slaughter have rejected a Clipper offer of $4.2 million a year. Williams reportedly doesn’t want to return to the Clippers and Manley is expected to explore a trade.
A source says San Antonio and Dallas have indicated interest.
Williams has been represented by Slaughter since entering the league. Traded here from Denver last season, he became the team’s leading scorer and exercised an option in his contract to become a free agent.
