Children’s Sleepover Includes Games, Food
There’s still time to sign up your children for Kids Night Out--a New Year’s Eve sleepover sponsored by the city of Newport Beach for children ages 4 to 12.
The annual pajama party at the Community Youth Center in Corona del Mar is supervised by the staff of Kids Can Do Gymnastics, which has organized games, movies and snacks.
“As long as the kids are awake, there will be things for them to do,” said Kathy Coulter, administrative clerk of the Community Services Department. There will be separate sleeping quarters for children who tire of the activities.
The sleepover begins tonight at 7:30 and ends with breakfast New Year’s Day. Parents must retrieve their children by 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The cost is $35 for the first child and $17.50 each for siblings.
