Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Fence
A Saugus man was killed early Saturday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a chain-link fence in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said.
Thaddeus Smith, 23, was riding northbound on Avenue Stanford near Technology Drive shortly after midnight when he failed to negotiate a corner, Deputy Ken Davidson said.
He was not wearing a helmet, Davidson said, and suffered massive head injuries after being thrown from the motorcycle. Paramedics from the county Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.
