Two Thousand Oaks men were arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.

Andrew Long, 28, and Gary Taylor, 32, were being held Wednesday evening at the county’s main jail on $50,000 bail each, police said.

The victim met the two men at a bar called the Lounge on Tuesday night, police said.

“Essentially, the two men went to the bar, met the victim, and decided to have a party of their own at an auto repair shop,” said Det. Ernie Montagna of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. “As a result of a few things occurring, one of the suspects sexually assaulted the victim.”

The two men had access to the Los Feliz Drive auto repair shop because one of them worked there, Montagna said. Alcohol was a factor in the incident, he said.

After the assault, one of the men drove the victim a short distance, but she jumped from the car and ran to a nearby store, Montagna said.

Police found one of the men at the bar, and he led officers to the other man, Montagna said.

The victim, who sustained cuts and bruises, was treated at Ventura County Medical Center and released.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are looking for additional witnesses, Montagna said.
