Horry Is Put on Injured List

Robert Horry went on the injured list Wednesday because of the sprained ligament in his left knee, a formality, and said he will return at full strength before the end of the regular season, a promise.

“I’m confident,” said Horry, expected to miss at least six weeks. “I’ve just got to take my time, not rush anything. Be patient.”

Shaquille O’Neal spoke out against the Orlando Magic, and frustrations with Coach Brian Hill in particular, before the season and has tried to distance himself from that organization since. So when asked before Wednesday’s game what he thought about Hill being fired, O’Neal said:

“Good luck to Brian.”

Then, as he pushed open the door and headed into the Laker locker room, not long before watching from the bench, he added: “I have no reaction. This is my team here.”
