King update--Goalie Stephane Fiset has won four consecutive starts, including a 4-0 shutout of the Canucks last Saturday at the Forum. Fiset has given up five goals during his streak. The line of Dimitri Khristich, Vladimir Tsyplakov and Vitali Yachmenev combined for four goals and five assists in Thursday’s 6-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Forward Eddie Olczyk has three goals and three assists in his last four games.

Canuck update--They have won only three of their last 10 games to fall out of a playoff spot. Martin Gelinas had four goals in a 6-2 victory over Phoenix on Thursday, and goalie Kirk McLean made 31 saves. Alexander Mogilny leads the team with 27 goals; Pavel Bure and Gelinas have 23 each. Forward Donald Brashear will not play because of a four-game suspension for punching the Kings’ Ian Laperriere.
