Rogers Dismisses Facemask as a Problem

Forward Rodney Rogers, who has worn a facemask after breaking his nose in last Tuesday’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, has missed 10 of 15 shots in two games while wearing the mask.

However, Rogers maintains that the mask doesn’t hamper his vision.

“I don’t have trouble seeing the basket,” said Rogers, who missed seven of 11 shots in Sunday’s overtime loss at Denver.

Guard Darrick Martin, who had 10 points in the first quarter against Denver, missed the final nine minutes of the second quarter because of a back injury.

Martin went to the locker room for treatment three minutes into the second quarter because of back spasms.

Martin, who scored 14 points in 15 minutes in the first half as the Clippers took a 59-47 halftime lead, had five points in 16 minutes in the second half as the Clippers scored only 36 points after scoring 35 in the first quarter.
