Dana Hills

Coach: John Stephens (ninth year).
1996: 20-3, 10-0, lost to Corona del Mar in Southern Section Division I quarterfinals.
Key returners: Brandon Fallon, No. 1 singles, Ojai singles semifinalist, Sr.; Elliott Fisher, No. 3 singles, So.; Luke Gattis, No. 2 doubles, Sr.; Scott Jason, No. 3 doubles, So.; Brian Kent, No. 2 singles, So.; Reid Spiegl, No. 1 doubles, Sr.
Key newcomers: Matt Dubow, doubles, So.; Jason Efstathiou, doubles, Fr.; Brian Liebman, doubles, So.; Ken Oakes, doubles, Jr.; Scott Robertson, doubles, So.; Blake Wilson-Hayden, doubles, Fr.
Outlook: Fallon and Kent give Dana Hills one of the best 1-2 singles punches in the county. Fallon only lost two sets last season and Kent was only beaten twice in league play. But if the Dolphins are going to stave off Mission Viejo’s challenge in league and go deep into the playoffs, they must get some production at No. 3 singles and from their inexperienced doubles teams. If Stephens can put together one or two solid doubles teams, the Dolphins have an outside chance of seeing the Division I finals.
