Share

Richie Waisberg was the starting pitcher in each of Montclair Prep’s two pool-play games Saturday in the Birmingham baseball tournament, and he came away with two decisions--one victory, one loss.

Fortunately for the Mounties (2-5), he finished strong.

Waisberg pitched four shutout innings, hit two home runs and a double, and drove in four runs in an 18-9 victory over Vasquez at the Mission Hills Little League complex.

In the first game, Waisberg gave up five runs in three-plus innings in a 13-5 loss to Simi Valley.
