Murray Gains Praise for Defensive Effort

Although forward Lamond Murray scored only eight points in 15 minutes in Sunday night’s 15-point victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Coach Bill Fitch thought he played well.

Murray, who’s never been known as a good defensive player, helped shut down Dominique Wilkins, who missed six of nine shots.

“Murray came on and took Dominique when Dominique had it going and he got up on him and gave Bo [Outlaw] plenty of rest.”
