KINGS TONIGHT

Share

Opponent--St. Louis Blues.

Site--Kiel Center.

Time--5:30 p.m.

TV--Fox Sports West.

Radio--XTRA (690).

Records--Kings 26-38-10, Blues 31-34-9.

Record vs. Blues--1-2.

King update--Coming off a 2-2 tie at Vancouver on Monday, the Kings still have an outside chance of making the playoffs, but time is running out. The Kings can help their rebuilding process with a victory over St. Louis tonight because they own the Blues’ first-round draft choice. If both they and the Blues do not make the playoffs, the Kings will have two lottery picks in this year’s draft--which is loaded with many impact prospects. Forwards Roman Vopat and Jeff Shevalier are not expected to play tonight because of concussions. Goaltender Byron Dafoe has given up only one goal in his last seven periods against the Blues.

Blues update--St. Louis is in a battle for the final playoff berth in the Western Conference with Chicago, Calgary and the Mighty Ducks. St. Louis has struggled over the last two weeks in winning only three of its last 10 games.
