Soccer selections: Erin Kelley of Chaminade High and Susan Baise of Harvard-Westlake have been selected Southern Section Division III girls’ soccer co-players of the year. Chaminade’s Mike Evans was coach of the year.

Volleyball rankings: Several teams in the region are included in the Southern Section boys’ volleyball rankings:

In Division I, Royal High is No. 5 and Hoover is No. 9. In Division II, Newbury Park is No. 6. In Division III, Harvard-Westlake is No. 2, Campbell Hall is No. 7, Notre Dame is No. 8 and Providence is No. 9.

Diving nationals: Josh Joffred of Dive Thousand Oaks has qualified for the 13-and-under U.S. National Diving meet in Lincoln, Neb., next month.

Joffred, 11, finished fifth in both the one- and three-meter springboard at the Region IX qualifying meet in Mission Viejo last week.
