Duck update--This is another critical game in the Western Conference playoff race, with the Blackhawks tied for eighth place only one point behind the Ducks. Teemu Selanne hopes to return tonight after sitting out the last two games because of a strained side muscle. Without him, the Ducks lost consecutive games for the first time since Feb. 4 and 5.

Blackhawk update--Chicago, fighting to stay in the tight playoff race, has lost only twice in its last 10 games, going 5-2-3. The Blackhawks play the Ducks twice in the final stretch, tonight and then Tuesday at the Pond. They also have two games against Calgary, the team they’re tied with for eighth. Winger Ulf Dahlen is questionable after missing Wednesday’s game because of back spasms and Brent Sutter is out after injuring his knee late in the game.
