After her husband’s death in 1977, Belknap-Nugent moved to Port Hueneme.

She married Kenneth Nugent in 1983. The couple enjoyed travel and socializing with their family and many friends.

Family members say Belknap-Nugent’s kindness and spirit were an inspiration to all. She enjoyed playing bridge and the art of conversation, according to her family, and was good at both.
