Titans Sweep Past Santa Barbara
Three Cal State Fullerton pitchers combined for two shutouts as the Titans swept host UC Santa Barbara Sunday in a Big West Conference softball doubleheader.
Jana Oetgen (7-5) pitched an eight-hitter as the Titans won the first game, 4-0.
Danielle Ferreira (2-2) pitched three shutout innings for the victory and Donna Coombes threw four shutout innings for the save as Cal State Fullerton won the second game, 1-0.
Nikki Hart had a home run, her second, and Bev Harwood had three hits and drove in two runs for Fullerton (14-12, 2-5) in the first game.
Rachel Olivea singled and scored on a three-base throwing error for Fullerton’s only run in the second game.
