NBA Fines Orlando’s Shaw $2,000
Orlando Magic guard Brian Shaw was fined the maximum allowable $2,000 Thursday for making an obscene gesture to a heckling fan two nights earlier.

Jordan, Pippen and Dennis Rodman, and Coach Phil Jackson on Thursday led the Chicago Bulls on their long-delayed visit to the White House to mark their 1996 NBA championship.
“I’ve never had the opportunity to stand next to such a prestigious man,” Jordan said in explaining his nervousness.
Pippen told teammates to be on their best behavior because “me and the president are homeboys.” Both are from Arkansas.
