Service Will Pick Up Discarded Oil Products
Residents with used oil, oil filters, empty oil bottles and even oily rags may arrange to have them picked up at their homes at no charge.
Using a state grant, city officials have contracted with Curbside Inc. of Orange to pick up hazardous waste at residences.
Dumping used oil or putting it in trash containers is illegal and can contaminate drinking water. Through the city-sponsored service, oil and other materials will be recycled.
