Bicyclist Assaulted by Trio on Seaward Avenue
Ventura police are looking for three males, possibly teenagers, who assaulted a Ventura man Friday night while he rode his bike on Seaward Avenue.
Todd Hoopingarner was riding near the beach about 10:30 p.m. when three males wearing khaki pants and white T-shirts jumped him, authorities said.
Hoopingarner, 32, was stabbed with a sharp object but was able to reach a gas station on Harbor Boulevard. The clerk saw Hoopingarner’s injuries and notified police.
Hoopingarner was treated at Ventura County Medical Center and released.
