Kosty, from Fountain Valley High, proved to be an outstanding option as Golden West beat Orange Coast in four games to win the state volleyball tournament Saturday. With the Pirates concentrating their defense against Golden West’s Scott Lane, Kosty took advantage to get 29 kills in the Rustlers’ 5-15, 15-8, 15-11, 15-11 victory.
