Day-Care Expansion Goes Before Council
In what is becoming a common practice, the City Council will review a decision by the Planning Commission at its meeting tonight.
This time the project in question is a proposed expansion of a day-care center. Heritage Oak School on Imperial Highway wants to increase its space by taking over an adjacent store. The council appealed the Planning Commission’s approval and will discuss the project tonight.
Since the new council took over, the panel has reviewed several commission decisions, including the design of a new gas station and the building of a Buddhist temple.
Mayor Pro Tem Barbara Kiley said she is concerned the council is burdening itself by reviewing so many commission decisions and may ask that the topic be brought up for discussion at a future meeting.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 961-7100.
