Opponent--El Paso Patriots

Site--Dudley Field, El Paso

Time--6:30

Records--Zodiac 4-4; Patriots 3-10

Zodiac update--Two of the Zodiac’s four victories have come against the Patriots, including a 2-1 decision last week in Santa Ana. Tonight, the Zodiac will try to extend its three-game winning streak on the road. It’s the first of two road games--the Zodiac will play Sunday at the Colorado Foxes in Denver. The team will play without Jose Vasquez and John Bovetas, who are staying home because of injuries, but has added 22-year-old midfielder Gerardo Laterza to the roster. Laterza grew up in West Covina and played professionally with the Salsa and in his native Paraguay.

Patriot update--El Paso remains in distant last place in the Pacific Division with five points, seven behind the Zodiac, which is in second-to-last. The Patriots have lost five A-League games in a row, but Wednesday beat the Dallas Burn of the MLS, 2-1, in a shootout.
