Seven ACC Teams in Top 25
Duke (6-0) moved to No. 1 in the Associated Press poll Monday, while six other Atlantic Coast Conference teams are ranked in the Top 25.
Seven teams from the same conference have appeared in the Top 25 only once since the poll started during the 1948-49 season (though for many years it was a Top 20 poll). The Big Ten had seven teams ranked in the Jan. 11, 1993 poll with Michigan the highest ranked at No. 2.
The other ACC schools ranked are No. 3 North Carolina (6-0), No. 17 Clemson (3-2), No. 19 Florida State (4-1), No. 22 Georgia Tech (4-0), No. 23 Maryland (3-1) and No. 24 Wake Forest (5-0).
Some other teams in the Top 25 are No. 4 Arizona (4-1), No. 12 Stanford (4-0), No. 15 UCLA (2-1) and No. 16 Fresno State (3-1).
