Volleyball/Outside hitter
Uhl, from Trabuco Hills High, has performed her best when it mattered most for Saddleback this season. She had a season-high 33 kills and added 24 digs as the Gauchos earned a berth in the state tournament with a victory Saturday over Cerritos. She had 29 kills in a victory over Golden West, the state’s top-ranked team, this season.

* Golden West, freshman. She set a Golden West single-game record with 47 points in an 89-77 victory over Long Beach.
Lohnnie Tape
Santa Ana, Sophomore
Basketball/Forward
Tape, from Esperanza High, proved to a talented scorer last year when he averaged 22 points and was an All-Orange Empire Conference pick. He’s right back in form early this season. Tape had 88 points as the Dons won two of three games in the Citrus tournament. His high game was 33 in a loss to Mt. San Antonio. He had 30 in a victory over Pasadena and 25 in a victory over Citrus.
Basketball
Matt Halverson
* Fullerton, sophomore. He scored 43 points and got 11 rebounds as the Hornets won twice.
