Red Cross Opens Blood Donor Center
The American Red Cross on Thursday opened a blood donor center at 17800 Newhope St., Suite A, across the street from the Price Club Plaza.
Fountain Valley residents can make appointments to donate blood on Mondays and Wednesdays. Other services include autologous blood donations, where patients store their own blood for surgery; directed donations to family and friends; and platelet apheresis, donations that help form clotting solution for hemophiliacs.
Services are available on an appointment-only basis.
