Council Expected to Approve Hiring of New City Manager
The Glendora City Council is expected to approve the hiring of Gary A. Napper as the new city manager at a special meeting on Tuesday, city officials said Friday.
Napper, who has served as city manager of the central California city of Ceres since 1992, is set to move to Glendora early next year and take his post in February if the contract is approved, officials said.
“I am delighted with the opportunity to work with the Glendora City Council and staff, and to serve a fine community that is rich in tradition and quality of life,” Napper said.The 43-year-old UCLA graduate and Long Beach native was selected from a field of more than 50 candidates.
