GARDEN GROVE — An automobile electrical repair shop, whose Yellow Pages advertisement billed it as a “fire damage specialist,” was gutted by a blaze Thursday night, the Garden Grove Fire Department reported.
Fire broke out about 8:40 p.m. near the back of the Hot Wire Electric Co., 13901 West St., the Fire Department said. Thirty firefighters from Garden Grove, Anaheim and Santa Ana contained the blaze within 40 minutes, but not before it had engulfed the shop area, the report said.
No one was hurt, but damage was estimated at $200,000 to the property and $500,000 to the contents, fire officials said. The cause remains under investigation.
