Parking Officers to Write Cards Instead of Citations

In the spirit of the season, the West Hollywood City Council has directed its parking control officers to issue holiday greeting cards instead of citations today and Christmas Eve.
There are 2,000 parking meters within city limits, most lining Santa Monica Boulevard and the Sunset Strip.
“This is an excellent way to show our appreciation to West Hollywood businesses and visitors,” said Mayor Sal Guarriello.
The holiday good will starts at 8 a.m. today, said city spokeswoman Tish Sutherland.
