Philadelphia 76er forward Derrick Coleman and Sacramento King forward Corliss Williamson were suspended and fined Monday for their part in a brawl Sunday.

Williamson was suspended for three games without pay and fined $15,000 and Coleman was docked two games and $10,000 after Sunday’s brawl in Sacramento, NBA vice president of basketball operations Rod Thorn announced in New York.

Both players also were automatically fined $1,000 for their ejections from the game.

Williamson, who makes $1.199 million this season, will lose $43,884. Coleman, who makes $8.002 million, will lose $195,190.

Williamson received the harsher punishment because he initiated the fight.

The fight erupted midway through the fourth quarter after an intense battle on the boards between Coleman, Philadelphia’s 6-foot-10, 260-pound power forward, and Williamson, also a power forward at 6-7, 245 pounds.

After Sacramento’s Mitch Richmond missed a shot, Coleman grabbed the rebound and made a pass. Williamson attempted to block the pass, but ran into Coleman, who then shoved Williamson before heading upcourt.

Williamson chased after Coleman and swung wildly from behind him, just grazing the top of his head with a right forearm.

Coleman retaliated with a punch, and the two ended up in front of the scorer’s table, where they exchanged punches before wrestling each other to the floor as teammates piled on.

Phoenix Sun forward Danny Manning will be sidelined at least two weeks because of a right abdominal strain.

Manning was injured with 1:22 remaining in the first quarter of Sunday night’s loss to Seattle. He sat out the rest of the first half and tried to play at the start of the third quarter, but quickly returned to the locker room.

Meanwhile, Sun guard Jason Kidd was listed as probable for Tuesday night’s home game aaginst Boston. Kidd sprained his right ankle with 5:38 remaining in the Seattle game when he landed on Gary Payton’s foot while attempting a shot.

“It’s a little sore, but I won’t miss any time,” said Kidd, who watched most of Monday’s practice from the sidelines.

Phoenix still has three players on the injured list--Kevin Johnson (arthroscopic surgery, right knee), Horacio Llamas (lower back spasms) and Loren Meyer (lumbar spine surgery).
