Rapid Heart Rate Sidelines Ohio University’s Terry
Ohio University center Nick Terry will be sidelined at least another week after passing out during a practice because of a rapid heart rate.
Terry, a 6-foot-11 freshman, blacked out during a practice Saturday, team trainer Skip Vosler said Tuesday.
“The cardiologist wants to do more testing,” Vosler said. “He’s not satisfied yet to allow him to participate.”
Vosler said he believed Terry would be tested through the early part of next week.
The Bobcats, who lost to No. 6 Kentucky, 95-58, Tuesday night, have Mid-American Conference games at Eastern Michigan on Saturday and at Toledo on Monday.
Terry set a state record last season by shooting 83% at Sparta Highland High.
He had started four games for the Bobcats, averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds a game.
