Knee Injury May Sideline Tar Heel Tailback Linton
Associated Press
North Carolina tailback Jonathan Linton strained a ligament in his right knee, making the 1,000-yard rusher questionable for Thursday’s game against Virginia Tech.
Linton injured the knee midway through the Tar Heels’ final contact practice. The senior, who rushed for 1,004 yards, was injured on a pass play in the flat when he collided with a teammate and slipped to the turf.
