FOURTH OF JULY
Today is Independence Day, the 221st anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. It is observed as a federal holiday.
* Closed: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries and many businesses. MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules and Metrolink trains will be closed.
* Trash: Los Angeles City residents whose trash collection day falls today will have their trash collected on Saturday.
