Update--The Sparks, 1-1 so far on their Houston-Cleveland-Charlotte trip, defeated Charlotte, 74-54, on June 25 at the Forum. The Sparks should be at full strength. Backup post player Heidi Burge, held out of Thursday’s 74-62 victory over Cleveland because of an ankle sprain, practiced Friday and indicated she would play. Charlotte won its first game Sunday at home, 67-44, over Cleveland. Lisa Leslie leads the Sparks in scoring (17.5 points) and rebounds (9.8). The Sting leaders are guard Andrea Stinson (16 points, seven rebounds) and Vicky Bullett (10.5 points, six rebounds). The only questionable Sting player is forward Katasha Artis, who is listed as day to day because of a foot injury. The Sparks return home for games against Cleveland on Monday, Utah on Friday and Phoenix on July 13.
