Eight Named Finalists for Citizen of the Year
Eight residents have been selected as finalists for the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce’s 1996 Citizen of the Year award.
They are David Belardes, Lee Buser, Collene Campbell, Tony Forster, Alice O’Leary, Janice Palermo, Rita Propersi and Mark Rush.
The finalists were chosen by the past three years’ winners: Ken Friess, Pat and Bill Bathgate, and Tom Facon.
This year’s winner will be announced at the 40th annual Chamber of Commerce Installation of Officers & Awards Dinner program at the El Adobe de Capistrano restaurant July 31.
The program, which starts at 6:30 p.m., is open to the public.
