Starting pitcher Eric Morgan issued five walks in 2 1/3 innings, including walking the bases loaded in the third inning, and the Lancaster JetHawks lost to the Lake Elsinore Storm, 5-4, Tuesday night at Lake Elsinore.

Infielder Jason Regan, who has been on a hitting tear since joining Lancaster at the all-star break, is the California League’s Batter of the Week. In five games, Regan had nine hits in 18 at bats, including three home runs, two doubles and eight runs batted in. He entered Tuesday’s game batting .339 with 13 home runs and 26 RBIs, and 26 of his 37 hits have gone for extra bases.

First baseman Shawn Buhner and pitcher Sean Spencer skipped Monday’s game at Lake Elsinore to play for a squad made up of Seattle minor leaguers against the Southern League all-stars. The Southern League prevailed, 9-3.
