Liberty Loses Again at Home
Rhonda Mapp scored 15 points and Andrea Stinson had 11 on Saturday for the Charlotte Sting, which handed the New York Liberty its second consecutive home loss, 64-61.
The victory, in front of 11,502, improved Charlotte’s record to 7-7.
Sophia Witherspoon scored 21 points for New York, which has a league-best 13-4 record despite the loss.
Cleveland 77, Utah 66--Rushia Brown came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points and lead the Rockers (7-8) past the Starzz in front of 7,108 at Salt Lake City. Elena Baranova scored a game-high 26 points for Utah (4-12).
