Former Police Chief Hired at Golden West
Recently retired La Palma Police Chief David S. Barr has been named interim director of Golden West College’s Criminal Justice Training Center.
Barr, 53, is the first chief of police to hold the center’s directorship.
He retired from full-time police work earlier this month after serving 32 years as a police officer and chief.
He began working in La Palma in 1973.
He has worked part-time as an instructor at the school since 1988.
