For the Rockers, the Beat Goes On
Forward Eva Nemcova was five for six from the field and scored 18 points Tuesday night to lead the Cleveland Rockers to their sixth consecutive WNBA victory, a 73-64 win over the Houston Comets before an announced crowd of 8,200.
Center Isabelle Fijalkowski added 12 points for Cleveland (9-8), while guard Rushia Brown scored all of her 15 points in the second half. Cleveland shot 52% from the field (26 for 50).
Tina Thompson had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead the Comets (10-6), who were hampered by turnovers and 23% shooting from three-point range. Cynthia Cooper had 21 points but was three for 13 on three-point shots.
