Mariachi Festival to Be Held Sunday
More than 6,000 people are expected to attend the seventh annual Mariachi Festival in Boyle Heights on Sunday, an event that will include the unveiling of a transit shelter at the Mariachi Plaza, organizers said.
Several mariachi groups will perform, including the renowned Mariachi Reyna and Jose Hernandez’s Mariachi Sol de Mexico. The festival will also feature health information and food booths.
The festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. at Mariachi Plaza at 1st and Boyle streets.
