Nebraska’s Osborne Says Heart Is OK
Shortly after Nebraska’s overtime victory over Missouri on Nov. 8, Cornhusker Coach Tom Osborne, 60, started having trouble with an irregular heartbeat.
Osborne, who had bypass surgery in 1985, went to a hospital Sunday where he received medication to have the problem corrected. Doctors performed more tests Monday and found nothing abnormal, the coach said.
“They said usually after 48 hours, it’s not going to flip back over,” Osborne said. “It may happen again, but it may be five years, 10 years, maybe six months.”
