TODAY’S GAME
HOUSTON’S MIKE HAMPTON
(15-10)
vs.
ATLANTA’S TOM GLAVINE
(14-7)
10 a.m., Turner Field, Atlanta
TV--ESPN.
* Update--With left-handers pitching, expect wholesale lineup changes for Game 2. The Braves probably will use Javy Lopez behind the plate, Tony Graffanino at second base and Andruw Jones in right field. The Astros might go with Sean Berry at third, Chuck Carr in center and Brad Ausmus catching. This game at Atlanta is enormous for the visitors. If they lose, the Astros would have to sweep in Houston. Manager Larry Dierker wants to pitch Chris Holt in Game 4 but might need Darryl Kile if his team is down 1-2 in the series.
