Sunny Hills made its first appearance in this season’s county top-10 rankings this week, but the Lancers will be hard-pressed to keep that ranking. Mission Viejo has a large offensive line and solid backs in Chavis and Carr. “They’re ranked and so we’re honored to play them,” Diablo Coach Bill Denny said. “It’s always a plus if we can beat somebody ranked ahead of us. That could earn us some respect.” But Denny knows beating Sunny Hills won’t be easy: “Offensively, they’re very potent and can control the clock. Defensively, they seem invincible.” In three games, Sunny Hills has given up 10 points.
