Magnolia can credit its surprising 3-0 start in part to being bigger than Fullerton, Bolsa Grande and Santiago. But Pacifica, as it showed in its 22-3 humbling of Bell Gardens last week, has the size to match up. “A big test for us,” Magnolia Coach Bill Friedrich said. The Sentinels will have to slow down Pacifica rusher Louie Ala, and the Mariners must contain Magnolia quarterback Anthony Zaragoza, who runs and passes with equal aplomb. Pacifica Coach Bill Craven has another concern--getting the Mariners recovered in time for next Thursday’s Garden Grove League opener against La Quinta.
