La Jolla Bishop’s 21, Montclair Prep 19--The freelance Mounties (2-1-1) fell just short of beating the defending San Diego Section Division IV champion at La Jolla High. It was the 18th consecutive victory for the Knights (5-0).
“It’s a long season ahead of us and we can’t afford to lose another one if we want to make the playoffs,” Montclair Prep Coach George Giannini said.
