Public’s Help Sought in Identifying Body
The Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a shooting victim discovered in Whittier Narrows Park.
The body of a man was found Saturday by a passerby walking on Rosemead Boulevard south of San Gabriel Boulevard near the Whittier Narrows Dam in an unincorporated area just north of Pico Rivera.
The man died of a gunshot wound to the upper body; detectives believe the shooting took place Friday night.
The victim is described as a man in his 40s, with dark brown, graying hair, a receding hairline and a mustache. He is approximately 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, and was wearing a blue-and-gray patterned polo shirt, gray pants and brown lace-up shoes.
