St. John Bosco 21, Alemany 19--A comeback ended suddenly for the Indians (2-4, 0-1) when quarterback Casey Clausen fumbled after being sacked at the Braves’ 22 in the final minute of play.
Alemany took a 13-0 lead with two touchdowns by Deandre Scott. Scott scored again in the third quarter but finished with only nine yards in six carries.
St. John Bosco (2-4, 1-0) came back with three second-quarter touchdowns. Shane Minton gained 136 yards in the quarter and finished with 202 yards in 23 carries.
The Indians cut the lead to 21-19 with a 70-yard drive, capped by a two-yard run by Scott to open the second half. Alemany tried a two-point conversion but Clausen’s pass was incomplete.
