TONIGHT’S GAME

Share

Have trouble falling asleep? Does stress at work keep you from a restful night? The NFL has developed a product this week especially for you. It’s called “Monday Night Football.”

The Colts are desperately searching for a victory after losing four of their six games by a total of 14 points. Quarterback Jim Harbaugh is second in the AFC in completion percentage, so hopefully there won’t be a lot of incomplete passes to slow the game down.

The last time these teams played each other (Sept. 21), Buffalo came back from 26 points behind for the second-largest regular-season comeback victory in NFL history. Antowain Smith rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns in the second half to spark the victory.

Two Buffalo players could pass milestones in this game. Running back Thurman Thomas needs 21 yards rushing for 11,000. Wide receiver Andre Reed needs two receptions to become the fourth player in NFL history with 800, joining Jerry Rice, Art Monk and Steve Largent.

However, no matter how you slice it, the game comes up dull. Two teams that aren’t going anywhere. And there’s not even a World Series game to watch. It’s a perfect night to catch up on all the pro wrestling you’ve missed.
