Annual Arts Festival to Be Held Sunday
Since the children had so much fun at the annual Manhattan Beach Arts Festival last year, organizers of Sunday’s event have lined up more events so the adults will enjoy themselves just as much.
Along with the art workshops, entertainment and food that are a staple at the event, the Manhattan Beach Cultural Arts Department, which is sponsoring the festival, has arranged for salsa and Polynesian dance lessons, African doll-making, origami and puppet making. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to paint a portion of a mural that will be installed during the event.
The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in downtown Manhattan Beach.
Streets in the vicinity of Manhattan Avenue, Manhattan Beach Boulevard and 9th Street will be closed. City staff members will direct visitors to parking areas.
