Irwin ‘Terry’ Teres; Treasury Dept. Worker
Irwin “Terry” Teres, a former U.S. Treasury Department employee, died Friday in a Camarillo hospital after a brief illness. He was 72.
Teres was born Dec. 14, 1924, in New York and lived there for most of his life.
He moved to Camarillo 17 years ago.
Teres was an import-export specialist with the Treasury Department for 40 years.
He was a life member of the Camarillo chapter of the City of Hope.
Teres is survived by his wife of 50 years, June, of Camarillo; one daughter, Melanie Teres Allen of Oceanside; one son, Harvey Teres of Syracuse, N.Y.; one sister, Iris Solomon of Florida; and three grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the Islands at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo. Entombment will follow in the park.
Donations may be made to the City of Hope.
Arrangements are being made by the Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, Camarillo.
