He has a 1.86 earned-run average in his last four starts and has given up only one earned run in each of his last three starts. “We’re lucky to have two videos to play for him,” Collins said. “We can pop a tape in so he can see how he pitched for Texas last season and compare it to how he is pitching now. Ken and [pitching coach] Marcel Lachemann were looking at tape for two days.” All that homework got Hill a 1-2 record in the last four starts.
