Davitt Sigerson, the former EMI Records president who lost his job four months ago during a corporate shake-up at EMI Music Group, is expected to resurface soon as president of PolyGram-owned Island Records, sources said. Island, whose roster includes such acts as P.J. Harvey and Dru Hill, is also about to elevate Hiriam Hicks from senior vice president to president of Island’s black music sector, sources said. In addition, PolyGram is expected to hire Twism executive Tom Sturges to run PolyGram Music Publishing.
